Afzelia Africana, 2004
Born in 1975, Rachel Pedder-Smith studied at Leeds Metropolitan University before gaining an MA and PhD in Natural History Illustration from the Royal College of Art. She has been awarded four Gold Medals from the Royal Horticultural Society, has had three solo shows in London and numerous group exhibitions. Her paintings are included in many notable collections, including the Alisa and Isaac Sutton Collection, the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation and the Lindley Library.
