Light Fall is a new body of work that further explores the close at hand depictions of a life. Leaves and fruit, books and cloth, people. It is also an ode to a collection of objects held dear, they are the things that describe our history and make a home. The place can change but the precious things we choose to carry with us through life are a constant. They are gifts, or we pick them out amongst a table of items because something intangible appeals. They remind us of someone or somewhere. Then there is the light, now through another window, or the gap in the curtain or the autumn light on the leaves that day, creating golden wings as she walks by.
