T. ALLEN LAWSON: HARVEST MOON

In November 2023, acclaimed American artist T. Allen Lawson will be holding a solo show in London with Jonathan Cooper.

 

Hailing from Sheridan, Wyoming, Tim Allen Lawson is deeply connected to the American West. He honed his skills in drawing and portraiture at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and continued his artistic journey at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut. An ever-curious learner, his passion for art constantly evolves, driven by diverse interests and influences.

 

T. Allen Lawson has won numerous awards.  In 2017 he won the prestigious Prix de West Purchase Award for his painting, The Nursery Tree.  He has also been awarded the Robert Lougheed Memorial Artists' choice Award in 2016, 2017, and 2022  from the Prix de West. Twice he has been honored with the Red Smith Memorial Award from the National Museum of Wildlife Art. In 2010 he won the Founders' Prize from his alma mater the Lyme Academy of Fine Art in Old Lyme, Connecticut. And in 2008 Tim was commissioned to create the official White House Christmas card. T. Allen Lawson's art is featured in esteemed public collections such as the Denver Art Museum (CO), Farnsworth Art Museum (ME), Forbes Magazine Collection (NY), Buffalo Bill Center of the West (WY), Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum (WI), The Tia Collection (NM), National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum (OK), Yale University Art Gallery (CT), and the Smithsonian Institute (DC).
